Vinyl – The Analog Record in a Digital Age
Gary Galo reviews ‘Vinyl – The Analogue Record in the Digital Age’ by Dominik Bartmanski and Ian Woodward. The book’s authors posed a similar question as Mike Uwins did: ‘Why would anyone prefer inaccurate vinyl records to high-resolution digital audio?’. However, as philosophers of culture they approached the question from a very different angle, and unfortunately also with a very different jargon. For an audio person, that makes the going tough.
