Revisiting the SIT Nemesis

Lennart Jarlevang gets his hands on the best of two world: a pair of massive single-ended transformers from a vintage Hiraga-designed Nemesis amplifier and a pair of PASS-SIT-1's from a generous Nelson Pass. His article details the design considerations, performance figures and graphs from several representative designs and listening impressions. Although his final amplifier has some audible differences with, for instance, a 300B amplifier, as Lennart puts it: 'the PASS-SIT-1 is nothing less than extraordinary'.
