Feedback Error Correction - some further thoughts on Part 1
As often happens, when Giovanni Stochino started planning for part 2 of his error correction series (part 1 appeared in L|A Vol 7) he realized that there was even more mileage in the part 1 topologies than realized until then. We agreed that he should work that out first and publish part 2 in Vol 9. So this article is a sort of article-length addendum to part 1, and generalizes the concepts of part 1 into a more general framework. The concept of Balanced Error sensing has been extended to other error correcting topologies. This greatly increases the insight in how these types of circuits operate, and shows more effective ways to implement them, as well as more effective error reduction while maintaining stability.
